Smile jewelry, for the becoming
Recommended for adults 18 years and older. If used by a minor, direct adult supervision is required at all times. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Cosmetic use only.
Lay every artifact out in front of you. Read the warnings on the opposite page before you begin.
Wash your hands. Rinse your mouth with water. Put on the included protective curing glasses before using the LED light.
Tuck one cotton roll between your lip and the chosen tooth. This keeps the lip off the tooth and saliva away from the work area. The tooth must remain completely dry throughout the ritual.
Take a second cotton roll. Wet one side. Firmly rub the tooth back and forth for 5–10 seconds.
Using the dry side of the same cotton roll, wipe the tooth for another 5–10 seconds until the enamel appears matte, not shiny. Tilt your head back to prevent saliva from returning to the tooth.
Using a microswab, apply the smallest amount of UV bonding adhesive to the selected area.
Less is more. Thin layers cure more effectively.
Avoid contact with gums, lips, skin, and eyes. Saliva contamination or incomplete curing may reduce bond strength.
Using the wax pencil picker, place the crystal directly onto the adhesive.
Center and adjust before curing.
Wear the included protective curing glasses.
Hold the LED light against the front of the tooth for 60 seconds, then the back of the tooth for 60 seconds.
Do not move the crystal during curing.
Never look directly into the curing light or shine it toward another person’s eyes.
Wait at least 1 hour before eating.
Avoid carbonated, alcoholic, and acidic drinks for 24 hours.
Avoid sticky foods, hard foods on the gem side, and smoking for 24–48 hours.
If the crystal shifts while curing, stop immediately. Remove the crystal and any uncured adhesive with the picker.
Dry the tooth thoroughly and begin again from Clean.
Crystals are non-permanent. Wear time varies depending on enamel, oral habits, and application technique. Inspect your crystal regularly.
Remove the gem if it becomes loose, damaged, difficult to clean around, or causes discomfort. Do not force removal. Light adhesive residue may be removed gently using dental floss or a fingernail.
Never use metal tools or sharp objects on enamel. If the gem or adhesive cannot be removed comfortably, discontinue attempts and consult a licensed dentist.
The Kult Kit is recommended for adults 18 years and older.
